I'm getting ready for the spring weather, too! We keep getting tricked up here...warm, then cold again, snow again...etc.

We had the pacifier with the first two and just cold turkeyed it too. But, if it isn't really bothering you, I say just make sure it has water (like Leslie said) and let her have it. You will want her to have water more in the summer anyways. It could be worse! Cassie sucks her thumb...don't know how we're going to break that one!

Oh, Danette, I feel for you! It is crazy that just last week I was getting sunburned and weeding! The little snow we got this morning is already gone, but it is windy and cold. Seriously, come down and visit anytime. I would love to have you!!

Hi Danette,

I read all the time but never comment...But about the bottle...I didn't have that I had the pacifier and the only thing that I could do was cold turkey. Not sure if that is the way to go because you are still cooped up and she could drive you crazy...but once the weather breaks you might be able to distract her away from it then...Good Luck and love to you all...

LOVE the water painting idea. So clever and clean. Too bad mine are so big they would laugh at me for that one. Plus, I love soup and I love bean and bacon the most. It snowed here yesterday. I woke up and wished I could go right back to bed. I was 99% sure I was going to tell the girls to grab piles of books and climb back into bed with me, so I did, but . . . the responsible 10 year old wanted to go to school. Can you believe I'm begging HER to stay home?? I. miss. the. sun.

As for the sippy cup addiction. I can't offer you any personal advice because neither of my kids latched on to something, except a blanket. But one of my friends just did the cold turkey thing with pacifiers and after a couple of rough days it was over. But from the dietitian in me, if she doesn't care what is in it, I would definitely fill it with water between meals. That way the teeth are getting a good wash of water not sugar bugs. Good luck with that one, it's a challenge
