4th of July
We went to the Park City 4th of July Parade this morning. It was pretty crowded, Gary was a good sport. The parade was fun a good mix of city floats, fire trucks, bands, kids, local hoodlums, and real estate floats (just isn’t PC w/o the big name real estate folks getting a word in). Ellie was fun she started to wave towards the end and she wasn’t too alarmed at the sirens and such. Afterwards we walked to the City Park for some lunch and tunes from the Motherlode Canyon Band who’s front man is PC’s Mayor. (Dana Williams – we like that guy) Needless to say it was a good 4th of July and I’m grateful for my country and my freedom.
Ellie enjoyed the ride home… She passed out mid-sip…
By the way this is what my husband looks like minus a hat sunglasses and crazy mop…
He cleans up well.
What a handsome devil! Boy, do I miss the July 4th parties. Not so much fanfare when you are living in a foreign land. But I get my fair share of country pride as I see my man in uniform on a regular basis. I did make BBQ and a red, white and blue dessert even though it was a German recipe. USA rocks!
Gary, That’s a great Summer look on you! Now you and Jon and Wade are all sporting the Summer do! Dad even said he was going to try it the next time he goes to the barber! Mom about fainted! Glad you had a great holiday! We have had a blast up here with the Fireworks, pancake breakfast, parade and Cruise In! Too Cool for Words! Jon and Tamara’s kids did GREAT at the fireworks. I think this was the first year Summer actually sat through them without crying or burying her head in someone’s shoulder! I am quite proud of her!
Can’t wait to see you again!
Love you,.
Laurie
WHOA! Gary I love the summer look too!!! I feel like I can see those great eyes so much better.
THe picture of Ellie sleeping is priceless. SO cute! Dan I loved your hat and tank. You are so beautiful and always have been…but WOW you just have such a natural soft beauty!
I agree with Charie, love the hat! You look so great, Danette. I love the summer parades! I hope to meet Gary some day.
Looks like a fun outing! Wish I was there. I am glad to hear Grandma McKenney had safe travels. I am sure she is having a great time with that wonderful family of hers. Gary, where did Pa Ingalls go???(not a bad look though) Danette you look great! Ellie you can’t look more beautiful.
Miss you soooo much,
Love Grandma Marcoccia

Well it just got too darn hot at this little house – summer 2008 😉
