The Wee One Walks!!

She is a little wobbly and has to hold her hands up high but she is focused and determined. Just before Gary filmed this she walked out of her bedroom and all the way down the hall on her own. My heart skipped a beat as I realized a whole new chapter is begining. She has been ready for this for a while as she has been trying so hard to be independent climbing up on things and exploring all over.  Last night I was a little emotional over the whole thing thinking to myself “am I ready for this?” and “I don’t want the babyness to go away”.  Ready or not she is full of life and it is such a pleasure to be apart of it all.

A note to Grandma and Grandpa Marcoccia: We hope this lifts your spirts a little bit today as you help the “Gentle Giant” Oakie rest in peace. We will miss that beautiful dog. You guys are all we can think about today as you take on such a difficult choice of loving pet owners. We love you.

Danette (and Ellie) thanks so much brightening our sad day. Okie is free of all her misery now. She was a good girl. Miss Ellie is doing a great job with those steps. Very original:)
    Thanks for thinking of us.

    Love Grandma Marcoccia

I can never see the videos 🙁 I can just imagine it though. Yeah, Ellie. It is always a sad, but blessed day when they learn to walk. I feel your mix of emotions. I can’t wait to see her do it in person!

THAT is the best! I love how her face lights up as she realizes what she is doing! So classic! Her baby belly is poking out to help balance her but she is over calculating, so funny! I just love that little one!

Okay, so I watched it again and I’m loving the victory hands raised in a “V” at the end!

I love the look of happiness on her face as she looks at Gary for approval. What a cutie. Her and Merced are going to be great friends. Merced is almost there too. She has taken a couple steps but nothing more than that. I cannot wait to get them together!
